NPA: FRM100 Frequency Reference Module
Esterline Research & Design is proud to introduce the FRM100 Frequency Reference Module, an ultra-stable, embeddable frequency source designed for precision applications. Featuring industry-leading temperature stability as good as ±0.25 ppb, this compact master reference module provides two independently configurable outputs, each supporting Fundamental, Divide-by-2, or Divide-by-4 frequency options.
Key Features
-
Ultra-Stable – the onboard OCXO, delivers exceptional frequency stability across the entire operating range.
-
Standard Output Frequencies – Available in 10, 12.8, 20, 25, and 100 MHz options to accommodate a variety of system requirements.
-
Dual Coherent Outputs – Each channel can be configured to Fundamental, Divide-by-2, or Divide-by-4, greatly expanding available output frequencies.
-
Compact – 3” x 2.5” bolt-down modular package.
-
Flexible Power Input Options – The OCXO operates on 3.3V, while the output circuitry runs on 5V, allowing for isolated power rails, suppliable via screw terminals or an SMA connector. This isolates the oven power and RF circuitry, increasing stability.
Designed for Precision Applications
The FRM100 is built for demanding applications that require a self-contained, high-precision frequency reference, particularly applications requiring two coherent, yet different frequencies. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Test and Measurement Systems
-
Manufacturing & Production
-
RF & Signal Processing
-
Sensing & Instrumentation
Seamless Expansion with Modular Distribution
For applications requiring many coherent outputs, the FRM100 integrates seamlessly with ERD’s DA-Series RF Distribution Amplifiers, enabling effortless scalability and signal fan-out without sacrificing integrity.
