NPA: DFS100 Digital Frequency Synthesizer

The DFS100 Digital Frequency Synthesizer is a low-noise synthesizer designed for low-ADEV applications and for easy integration into larger rack-based testing platforms. The DFS100 is a virtual instrument. The set frequency is configurable to the millihertz via USB communication with a PC. The synthesized frequency is available on the rear panel via a CMOS distribution amplifier, providing eight copies of the generated signal.

For high-accuracy applications, the DFS100 can lock to an externally supplied 10MHz frequency reference. This reference is then made available to the user via a 4-channel sinewave distribution amplifier on the rear panel of the device. If no external 10MHz reference is supplied, the synthesizer uses its internal low-noise 100MHz OCXO.

The front panel has an LCD display for easy set frequency readback, and also a set of LED indicators to show the device's lock status.
