NSO200

5.0 × 3.2 mm hermetic ceramic package

The NSO200 combines a crystal resonator and dedicated CMOS assembly with an internal voltage regulator and enable/disable input. Electrical configuration and screening are selected when ordering.

01 / ELECTRICAL

Electrical characteristics

Frequency, stability, nominal supply and operating temperature are selected at order. Each nominal supply option identifies a separate oscillator configuration.

Output frequency
1–80 MHz
Frequency stability
±100 / ±50 / ±25 / ±20 ppm
Nominal supply voltage
1.8 / 2.5 / 2.8 / 3.0 / 3.3 V
CMOS output load
15 pF
Output enable input
HIGH or open: enabled; LOW: disabled

Electrical limits are preliminary and subject to final approval for the ordered frequency, supply and temperature. Stability includes initial accuracy, operating temperature, supply variation, non-operating shock and vibration, and aging. The aging interval, test temperature and supply tolerance require confirmation.

02 / MECHANICAL

Package and connections

The NSO200 uses a 5.0 × 3.2 mm hermetic ceramic package with four surface-mount pads and a maximum height of 1.30 mm.

1
Enable / Disable
HIGH or open enables the output; LOW disables it.
2
Ground
Supply return.
3
CMOS clock output
Specified output load: 15 pF.
4
Vdd
Connect to the ordered nominal supply.

Place a 0.1 µF or 0.01 µF bypass capacitor between Vdd and ground near the oscillator. The reference pad layout provides the dimensions for PCB integration; the land pattern and assembly process require validation for the released build.

Manufacturing and screening

EM, SS and MS use the same specified die, crystal and package construction for the ordered oscillator. The selections determine which finished-unit screening operations are added to the ERD manufacturing requirements.

EM

Engineering Model

ERD manufacturing requirements control materials, assembly, internal inspection, sealing and build records. The oscillator receives the outgoing checks specified for the ordered product.

Finished-unit SS and MS screening is added by selecting the corresponding model.
SS

Standard Screening

The finished-unit flow adds electrical checks, temperature cycling, frequency measurements at 1°C intervals across the ordered operating range, and fine and gross leak testing.

Powered burn-in and detailed test-data delivery are optional.
MS

Modified Screening

The SS operations are incorporated once, with 10 temperature cycles, 5,000 g constant acceleration in Y1, particle impact noise detection and at least 160 hours of powered burn-in.

Burn-in uses the ordered maximum operating ambient, nominal supply and specified load.

Additional inspection packages

Group A covers the agreed electrical and solderability tests. Group B adds aging; Group C adds selected environmental and mechanical tests. These are separate MS options. EM and SS group testing requires a reviewed custom scope.

Test results and delivered records

SS and MS shipments include a Certificate of Conformance and screening summary. ERD retains the acquired results. The optional Detailed Test Data Package supplies the available records from the ordered work; it does not add tests.

These ERD-tailored screening flows do not establish a radiation-performance rating, complete military conformance, qualification or QPL listing.

Datasheet and ordering information

The part number identifies frequency stability, supply voltage, operating-temperature range, screening, burn-in, test-data delivery and inspection package. Frequency is specified to 1 Hz.
