DA300 CMOS Distribution Amplifiers
DA300 CMOS Distribution Amplifiers

Complementing our established DA100 and DA200 series, which are designed for sinewave signal distribution, our DA300 series of distribution amplifiers is specifically engineered to distribute CMOS signals.

This addition to our product lineup offers customers the flexibility to choose the right solution for their specific signal distribution needs, whether they require sinewave or CMOS signal handling. The DA300 series is designed to meet the rigorous demands of RF signal distribution in complex systems, providing the same high level of performance and reliability our customers expect from ERD.

Applications:

DA300 series distribution amplifiers are suitable for a wide range of RF applications, including:

  • Signal distribution in RF testing and measurement systems
  • Clock and timing distribution infrastructure
  • RF signal routing in research and development environments
  • Military and aerospace digital communication systems

Key Features:

  • Wide Frequency Range: The DA300 series supports an input frequency range of 100Hz to 100 MHz, making it ideal for a broad spectrum of RF applications.
  • High Isolation: With minimum -70 dBm channel-to-channel isolation, the DA300 series ensures signal integrity across all output channels.
  • Fast Transition Times: With maximum rise and fall times of just 3 ns, the DA300 series amplifiers deliver rapid signal transitions, critical for high-speed applications.
  • Multiple Configuration Options: The DA300 series can be configured with DC coupled or AC coupled outputs at the time of order and offers a wide variety of connector options to suit diverse application needs.
  • Low Noise Output: The DA300 series offers negligible degradation of close in phase noise, and a minimum floor of -155 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset.

Superior Signal Distribution:

The DA300 series distribution amplifiers are designed to distribute a single input signal to up to five output channels without compromising signal quality. Each channel is individually buffered and isolated by Schmitt Trigger drivers, ensuring high channel-to-channel isolation, signal fidelity, and consistent performance across all outputs. This makes the DA300 series the ideal solution for systems requiring precise signal timing and distribution.

Expandable System Design:

For larger systems, multiple DA300 amplifiers can be daisy-chained to expand the number of outputs. By connecting the output of channel five to the input of another amplifier, users can easily increase system capacity:

For applications where channel-to-channel phase offset is critical, a single DA300 amplifier can drive up to five additional amplifiers, providing up to 25 outputs with minimal phase variation:

Versatile Power Options:

The DA300 series is designed with flexible power requirements, allowing operation with user-supplied voltage via screw terminal connections or a 2.1 mm plug from a 6 V, 500 mA power module. Additionally, the power module voltage is made available on the screw terminals, providing 6 V, 250 mA to power external circuitry. This simplifies system integration and can reduce the need for additional power supplies.

Mounting and Installation:

The DA300 series amplifiers are designed with four mounting holes that provide versatile installation options, including direct integration inside other systems like 1U or 2U rack-mount instruments. These holes are also compatible with the optional MHMF101 mounting bracket, which is available for purchase as part of the mounting kit, along with all necessary hardware for easy attachment.

The MHMF101 bracket features larger holes suitable for drywall screws or bolts, making it ideal for benchtop prototyping or wall-mounted applications. The MHMF101 bracket is also compatible with our other mounting brackets, providing a cohesive solution for integrating the DA300 series with other companion products in our lineup:
